Your tongue will swell anyway and as for getting it to go down quicker there's no real cure, You can use ice water & crushed ice in your mouth. Also one thing my piercer recommended was ibuprofen that melts in your mouth so you can allow it to actually enter the piercing site. :)
Well mine is crooked and so far nothing bad has happened. But its like towards the side. My dads friends was from like back to front and when his tongue swelled the bar went inside his tongue.. so it really depends on the angle.
I got my tongue pierced over a week ago and my friend got her's a year before me. She drank on the third night after her piercing, and the swelling on her tongue went down. I also did the same, and swelling also went down. Just be careful, cause when you drink beer that early after piercing it, the tongue will tingle from the carbonation. My tongue ring is almost completely healed now.
it has come up over a couple of days
The barbell is a bit too long, but that's due to the swelling. Once the swelling is gone (about 2 weeks) go back and get a shorter barbell, this will relieve the discomfort under your tongue.
It usually takes 10 - 14 days for the swelling to go down after you get it pierced, so if your tongue is still swollen after a few days that can be normal.
yes he has his tongue pierced
Multiple tongue piercings are not uncommon however the swelling and discomfort from one is generally annoying enough. Most professional body piercers will not pierce a tongue twice in one sitting due to potential risks from excessive swelling cutting off the airway.
Joe Jonas didn't get his tongue pierced, but he did get his ears pierced.
Yes! I got mine pierced yesterday for the second time and i have a slight lisp nothing major though, the first time i got my tongue pierced the lisp lasted about 3 days till the swelling went down and my mouth adjusted to having a bar in it..hope this helps :)
This can be a sign of a possible infection or up comming cold, I would suggest you talk to your doctor.
Yes. but you cant drink, smoke. or eat anything that is hard.
Not right away. You have to wait at least 2 weeks or until the swelling has gone down.
