To me, it just means you were thinking about him. Dreams are just extended thoughts, put to image. Please don't ask him out, because you don't want to ruin the relationship if something bad happens.
Well it really depends could mean that you like him or you just had a dream and he was in it i am a guy and i have had a dream before about one of my best friends who was a girl and i came to find out i actually liked her but before that i had one of the same girl and it was just a dream she was in if you would explain the kind of dream you had i would be more then happy to help you thank you for taking time out of your day to read this

So if you have a crush on a certain guy, it is not surprising if you dream about him. These dreams reflect YOUR emotions; they do NOT reflect that guy's thoughts or mean that he is thinking of you.
you probably either really love him or really hate him, depending about experiences and events in the dream and how you feel.
