Firefox could be down at the time. You can try exiting off the page and opening it back up.
You can use an add-on to do this. Tools > Add-ons > Get add-ons > search for "Foxfilter" > Add to Firefox > Restart Firefox You can configure the add-on and use a password to make it work or stop.
Because it's trying to tell you to switch to firefox.
Go to start and then programs find Firefox in the menu listing. Click on firefox icon hold down down your left mouse button and drag it to the right. Failing that simply right click on the firefox icon and then send to and you will see the option to send shortcut to desktop.
I wish I knew why this keeps happening, but I don't. I did want to let you know you're not alone, because it's happening to me as well, as of Firefox's latest update (15.0).
