THOUGH, not "thou"

OFFSET, not "off set"

STRUCK, not "printed" (printing refers to paper money, not coins)

Anyway, you could have what's called an off-center strike. This error occurs when a coin blank doesn't land perfectly centered in the press and the image is struck partially off the coin.

The value of an off-center strike varies with how far off the image is. It can be particularly valuable on Eisenhower dollars - for example, a coin that's missing only 20% of the image can retail for a couple of hundred dollars. A coin with 80 or 90 percent gone might sell for as much as $1000. Your best bet is to find a dealer who handles error coins and get an appraisal. Remember, though, that a dealer who buys a coin will pay you wholesale price which can be a lot less than retail.

What does a 1978 dollar look like?

What is the value of a 1977 D silver dollar?

A 1977 D Eisenhower Dollar would be worth about $4. If it is spectacularly sharp, with very little wear and bright lustrous surfaces it may be worth more. The price is very dependent on the grade in this case. If the coin is worn, dirty or looks poor then chances are you may as well spend it, it has little extra value. By the way the 1977 D dollar actually contains no silver, it is a clad composition of copper and nickel.

How can I know what a 1921 peace dollar looks like?

All Peace dollars have the same design. The difference between the 1921 Peace Dollar and the 1921 Morgan dollar is that Liberty looks completely different. In the more common 1921 Morgan dollar, Liberty wears a crown with the word "LIBERTY" on it, on the reverse of the Morgan dollar, there is an eagle with olive branches and arrows in its talons along with a wreath under it. On the Peace Dollar, Liberty looks like she has rays coming out of her head and on the reverse there is an Eagle sitting on a rock inscribed "PEACE", there is no wreath on the reverse.

The front is printed in black and grey, it looks somewhat green from arms length, but there is no green except for the Treasury seals. The back is printed using the same green color ink that was used on other denominations since the 19th century, hence the term "greenback".
