The ecu needs to know the engine is turning. Since this got wet too, the first item I would check is the cps, Crank Position sensor. If the cps is not working, the ecu doesn't know the engine is turning and the ecu will not send a signal for the injectors to fire.
You have got some major troubleshooting ahead. Start with the computer relay and fuseable link, make sure there is power to the cmputer and then power out to the injector control. You will need a detailed wiring schematic. Water will short any powered circuit, and relays if not water tight will fail. You need to trace and verify your connections from the battery all the way to the injectors themselves.
can the fuel injectors on a 1994 grand marquis be checked without removing them from the engine, if so what type of instrument do i use
I have a 93 GMC Safari and when I have that problem, it has always been the gas that got. Once the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. Have your fuel injectors checked. My van does it every time I use any gas other than Amoco.
Have the ABS computer checked. I have a 94 prelude and had the same thing happen. Have the ABS computer checked. I have a 94 prelude and had the same thing happen.
first replace the fuel filter. they should be changed about twice a year. I'm not sure where it may be located. if that doesn't fix the problem. you need to have the fuel pump checked to see if it is putting out the correct fuel pressure. if not it obviously needs to be replaced. if the fuel pump is good and the filter is good/replaced. have the injectors checked. these are the most common issues to be checked first. i wish i could be more helpfull.
Crankshaft sensor. It makes both or the signals to those work. Good Luck!
have the Fuel injectors checked out.
Have your injectors checked or changed, burnng to much fuel
check your battery, maybe it's time to replace it
The 4 main things that need to be checked and or replaced before replacing the computer with an ABS system are the pads, the rotors, the calipers, and the shocks. Also make sure to look over the brakes as well before putting in the ABS system.
You should have your rotors checked and possibly turned or replaced as necessary You should have your rotors checked and possibly turned or replaced as necessary
Could use a lot more info like year and model. Have you changed the fuel filter? Have you done a fuel pressure test? Could be a faulty fuel pressure regulator. Have you checked the fuses for the injectors and ecm? Have you checked the fuel pump relay?
Could be a problem with the wiring from the computer to the sensor.
