i used to breed bluebellys and on occasion a few alligator lizards. alligator lizards vary on how much they eat by size. A small one i would suggest 2-5 small crickets every one or two days. lizards 5-8 inches eat about 4-6 every one or two days. 9+ have to eat at least about 7 a day. Lizards can skip meals on days. If your lizard isn't eating all it should, i just suggest putting in 3 crickets at a time. after finishing one serving, out in a another 3. once it refuses any more, count the amount it ate and feed it about that many a day. Alligator lizards and many other species should hide or sleep as soon as the PM twilight hour and should wake up at about the AM twilight hour. They are very low maintainance and require little care. Dont worry, youll do just fine ;D
Yes, they do sleep during the day.
They sleep about 12 hours
...sleep.
They dont actually sleep but they can be inactive for a few minutes this is for them like their rest.
Lizard Jones has written: 'Two ends of sleep'
Crickets rest and quiet down their activity in the day. They are extremely active at night unless they are disturbed.
With any pet you have that is hibernation you should not touch them or disturb them as this can kill them. If your pet lizard is looking unwell then you should try and stop them from hibernating.
they dont but they like to sleep
sleep and get a baby
we can't seen lizard in cold season because lizard go into a long ,deep sleep in certain season
Both Alligators and Crocs sleep sun-bathing on eiher the ground or on rocks. I'm not sure about at night.
Some lizards never sleep, such as some geckos, because they have no eye lids. Lizards with eye lids that come out in day sleep at night, and the other way around.
