hmmm...no answer. I'd like to see one! I've been on Depo for 4 years now, wondering the same thing. I'm not having any problems, would love to stay on it. Hate to sound all "unnatural" but I'd be bummed to have to have a period again!

The only thing I have heard about the Depo is that after long usage it can affect your bone density. which every 2-3 years, you should have to go for a bone density scan, as per being on the depo. They do say there is a possibility of the depo becoming less effective after prolonged use, and to look into possibly finding a new form of contraceptive if you feel it isn't working for your as well, or you are noticing negative affects to your body! On the second dose of depo, you tend to bleed the entire 2 months. It sucks, but its normal on depo. I had it on and off for 3 years and the second dose is always like that.

i have been on anti depressants including st johns wort for four years, and also on the depo injection. I have not conceived at all during this time so would assume that the anti dpressant medication does not interfear with the depo injection.
