Have you colored your hair before? How often do you style your hair, particularly with heat producing items like flat irons or curling irons? Damaged or previously colored hair can cause even temporary hair dyes to behave in unexpected ways.
I have porous, fine hair that is very similar to cornsilk that I color two or three times a year. Even temporary hair dye lasts forever in my hair.
