Unfortunately, checking a front end for looseness cannot be adequately described in this kind of forum. It would require pictures and possible even a video to point out the different components and ways to isolate which one(s) are causing the looseness.
You need to go to a professional to find out. Try and get a referral from someone you know and go to a full service shop that does front end repairs. Stay away from the chains and cheapies on this kind of work.
You can make it fit with plenty of money and fabrication but it is not a plug and play.
