The fuel pump the fiero uses is used on many other GM cars and trucks. It is generally reliable.
Fuel pumps can fail prematurely because
1. They have been subjected to running out of gas (Very hard on a pump)
2. The baffles in the tank have broken loose and are getting into the fuel pump
3. There is some other foreign objects in the tank (sand)
4. The intake filter screen is missing on the fuel pump
That can happen when the fan is failing.
The ticking could possibly be from a timing key going out. Having mine replaced presently.

The coupling between windings will be nearly zero, resulting in nearly zero output. In short, your transformer's not going to work.
Bad weather happens because if the weather channel says that there is going to be bad weather in a certain area, it means that that area is going to have low pressure, which causes bad weather.

NOTHING will happen
it may be the starter going out doing it . it will kill the alternator if it keeps going . I know i had it happen to my 96 olds replaced the alt still didnt start and the starter fixed it
