It could be that it is a fungal infection that just does not react well to treatment with Canesten.

The chances are that your condition is not caused by fungal infection.

Possible cause could be Lymes disease. Doctors can test for this.

Another possible cause could be Erysipelas.

My medical knowledge is however not unlimited. I connect the two pink rings with the possibility of these two diseases, but the chances that I am wrong is high.

It might be as simple as an allergic reaction.
