I don't remember the exact steps but I can give you an idea and the basic funda to install two OS on a single machine.
Before starting the installation you should ensure that there should be at least two separate drives in the system (say c and d) and lets assume windows 7 is running on c drive.
Insert the second operating system CD (say XP) and restart your machine. Select boot from CD when prompted.
select new installation when prompted.
select d drive when prompted AND start installation.
after the installation is completed and when the system restarts it will show both the operating system installed and you can choose the one you want to boot.
Thanks,
PB
Yes you can. You would need to create separate partitions for each operating system - installing each operating system into its own partition. When you switch on the computer, it will show a menu allowing you to choose which operating system you want to start.
Microsoft OSes require a separate partition per OS.
Yes, you will just have to choose at startup which system you will use.duel booting is a service through which we can install 2 or more OS. but for this we can install one SOS(Simple Operating System) and one NOS (Network Operating System) that's it.
Two options: 1. reformat the disk 2. install another operating system.
http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/xpsp2.html go here and download the patch, then install. easy as that
Yes. OS/2 is a computer operating system.
To install two separate operating systems you will have to create separate partions on the hard disk. You then install each operating system in it's own partion and use a boot loader such as GRUB to select which system you want to boot, some operating systems might include their own boot loader during the installation.
Yes , u can do it with Xp bootable disk. Boot it from bootable disk and select 2 partition for install
1. BATCH PROCESSING operating system 2. MULTIPROGRAMMING operating system 3. TIME SHARING operating system 4. REAL TIME operating system 5. DISTRIBUTED operating system
It probably has a partition, which is a way of separating a physical drive into 2 or more logical drives. This is useful is you want to install 2 operating systems, or if you want your operating system on one drive and your data on the other.
Step 1) Back up your data in case the install is successful.Step 2) back up the complete drive in case the install fails.
1. There is no the Linux operating system.2. Only one component is strictly necessary to make a Linux operating system - the kernel.
