Turn it on?
There are, of course other ways to get the pictures from the camera to your system (assuming that your 'system' is a PC), and that is to take out the SD card (normally near the battery compartment, but it maybe somewhere else), and insert it into a PC card reader. If your PC doesn't have one of these, then you can pick them up relatively cheaply these days.
Failing that, then do what you've already posted.
Good luck!
Access BIOS setup and verify that the serial port is enabled.

I lost my CD to my Samsung L200 And I really need to upload my pictures. please help
The camera should come with a CD and cables to connect to the computer. Read the handbook. You will need to put the CD in the computer and it should automatically download the software. If you don't have the CD go on line and download from Kodak.
it did not come with a start up disc how do i get one?
Yes, in fact if you are running XP you need no software to download pictures from a digital camera. Just connect the camera and XP take it from there.
Yes
Access BIOS setup and verify that the serial port is enabled.
Go on-line to the company that made the camera and download the software from them. You will need the exact model name and number of the camera to identify which download you need.
when you get the camera you will get a CD too. that is where you get your software!!
One can find and download digital video software at multiple websites. Just a few of these websites include Adobe, Amazon, Ion Audio, and digital converter dot com.

There are many digital photography software applications available to use. If you have a digital camera, you'll need the right software to both download your pictures with and also to fix them. Photography software is used for several things. The software allows you to easily convert your photography from your camera to your computer. From there, you will be able to use a plethora of different tools to enhance and fix your photos. This enables you to have quality pictures at all times when you use the right software to achieve the right effects. The camera you purchase should come with its own software, however, you can also buy it on its own.
You can download a digital photocopy software from Kodak's website. You will most likely have to pay for it, so I would go buy some from the store to minimize your risk of I.D. theft.
