Go for it. That's the same age difference between me and my bf. Just be careful. As long as he isn't trying to take advantage of you, then there is no difference between this and two people who are the same exact age

∙ 15y agoif he's your friend, it'd be kind of weird, but if he's not then you should just tell him if he IS your friend then just pretend like you dont until you think you'd be able to handle his reaction which, to tell you the truth, i dont know how he would react but i doubt he'd stop being your friend it's also kind of important to tell your parents but you dont have to do that right away either.
