If he refuses to get help for his alcohol problem then yes, you should leave him. There are many Women's Shelters and Women's Abuse Centers to go too for help. They will help you get settled in a 'safe house' and you have programs they expect you to take to learn tools to survive in the future and also give you warning signs of men you may meet in the future that could be abusive. They will help you in court if you want to press charges against him or if you want to get a separation or divorce and they will help you find work. However, you are also expected to do chores in the 'safe house.' If you don't know where one is in your area then phone Mental Health and they will lead you in the right direction. Good luck!
