For Cummins engines, the torque specification for rocker shaft bolts typically ranges from 22 to 25 ft-lbs (30 to 34 Nm). It's important to follow the specific service manual for the engine model you are working on, as specifications can vary. Always ensure that bolts are torqued in the correct sequence to avoid warping the rocker shaft. Double-check for any updates or specific instructions related to your engine variant.
heat fatigue.
A rocker arm shaft is normally a long shaft with rocker arms attached to it, that provides the pivet point for the rocker arms (newer Chevy motors).
Tighten to 50 ft/lb,then back off all rocker shafts, then 22ft/lb plus 60 degrees which is one flat of a bolt "hexagon"
The torque specification for the rocker shaft on a Cummins N14 engine is typically around 25-30 ft-lbs (34-41 Nm). It's important to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the specific model and year, as there may be slight variations. Always use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the proper sequence for tightening to ensure even distribution of pressure.

I assume that the tappets have been adjusted and are still tapping. Then what you need to do is to remove the rocker cover you will then see the rocker shaft held down by four bolts, undo these bolts evenly so as not to distort the shaft, turn the rocker assembly over and you will no doubt find, that the pads, which press onto the valves are indented, you will need to reface the pads with an oil stone following the existing radius of the pad. After this thoroughly clean the rockers and shaft before refitting. Ensure that the rockers are lubricated and properly located onto the push rods thenre tighten the bolts progressively, readjust tappets, refit rocker cover.
Boston 3.0 liter engine rocker arm bolt torque specification is 20 pounds. The rocker arm bolts should be torqued in 10 pound intervals.
A rocker arm assembly kit typically consists of rocker arms, push rods, and associated hardware such as bolts and spacers needed for installation. It may also include a rocker arm shaft and retainers, depending on the engine design. Some kits might come with additional components like gaskets or lubrication recommendations. The kit is designed to facilitate the proper functioning of the engine's valvetrain system.
There probably "pressed in" so take a couple of old nuts or balls from the rocker arm, put the nuts on the shaft, then put the rocker nut on and just tighten it up, it willl pull the shaft out of the head. Good Luck
The lifters are hydraulic type.If you are referring to the rocker arm shaft bolts, they should be torqued to 16-21 ft lbs. Hope ths helps,Tim Olsen.
