You put new fuses and bulbs in for brake lights but still doesnt work on a 2000 Chevy Malibu?

- The brake light switch is NOT properly adjusted,
- One or more connectors in the circuit have become unplugged, or loosened,
- Corrosion has built up on the metal contacts inside of any one or more of the usually several connectors in the circuit,
- A bad ground, or grounds for the circuit. This is relative remote as there is usually a ground at each side for the rear lights, and unless both or all are bad, then one of the lights would work.
I suspect that there are other possible causes which I have not been able to recall. Good luck.

yes they have brake lights and you probably have a bad brake light switch which is on top of the brake pedal under the dash.
