Why not? Panties are comfortable and provide better support than boxer shorts. They are more reasonable than tighty-whities and that slit in the front of men's underwear is more bother than it's worth. More men than one might suspect wear panties.
The only drawback to a man wearing panties is if anyone sees you disrobed, such as changing for gym class. On those days, it might be more practical to wear other underwear.
