continue your pill sequence as if no bleeding occured, but it is advised that you use a "backup" method of Birth Control as condoms for the next 2 weeks
I don't think that should be happening, I suggest you go back to the doctor or clinic.
Hello. No bleeding after using birth control isn't harmful hun. If you have stopped birth control and are bleeding, this is perfectly normal and is happening because your experiencing break through bleeding from the withdrawal of the pill. If you are bleeding while on birth control and have missed some pills - then this is why your bleeding. Dont miss any pills and you wont bleed. If you are bleeding while on birth control and are taking the pills correctly and haven't missed any, then this is most likely due to the doseage of the pill not being high enough. See your doctor for a change of pill or increase in doseage. Take care!
I have stopped bleeding because my blood has coagulated.
that is quite common. i had this problem for months because my birth control was ultra low dose (yaz). i switched to a regular low dose (yasmin) and the bleeding stopped and went back to a normal cycle. if you just started taking BC, keep doing it. if after three months the bleeding is still frequent, talk to your doctor. you may need a higher dose.
that is very possible. It can happen although it is rare
Yes, if you stop the birth control you can get pregnant, whether or not you're bleeding.
I had the same problem. I am now getting off of the shot and trying the patch because of this. I have had spot bleeding for the entire month. My doctor said that with 2 shots you should have stopped bleeding or have minimual bleeding and since that was not the case for me, it was best for me to stop because it was not the type of birth control right for my body. This might be because your body is not responding positively to it. See your doctor.
I have been on birth control for 7yrs, and i stopped taking it the end of September. But when i stopped taking it i didn't finish the pack. I am trying to get pregnant. I am concerned that i cant get pregnant and that i should have finished the pack first. I am concerned that i might not be able to get pregnant because i took birth control for 7yrs.
The birth control pill makes bleeding lighter by prevening heavy buildup of the uterine lining. When you stop, your period will go back to its previous pattern, before you were on the pill.
to be honest this sounds like the regular bleeding you are supposed to have on your "off week" or your "sugar week" when you miss a pill or a patch you will spot.. and if you stop completely you will have a regular period.
First, you should determine what effect method of birth control you want to start if you want to avoid pregnancy. Starting hormonal birth control may control bleeding. If you want to get pregnant, your best bet is to keep in mind that irregular bleeding will go away without treatment. Talk with your health care provider about options if the bleeding is troublesome.
