Yes, u can without giving up you passport, but you can't use it anymore after you've become a citizen of trinidad.

User Avatar

Yes you can, you are a citizen because of your parent was but you must register with your closest Trinidad Consulate, to do so you must take your father Trinidad documents as Passport or Birth Cirtificate to prove he was a citizen of Trinidad, then you must also take along your birth certificate and ID to prove he is your father. It's really simple it's even faster if you go to Trinidad with your regular passport then apply there for a Trinidad passport.

Where are you a citizen? If you are a Canadian citizen you must have a Canadian passport for entry into the US. If you are a citizen of Trinidad, you must have government approval from the government travel authority of Trinidad to enter the US, which means you would need to go back to Trinidad before traveling.

Passports aren't issued by cities, they are issued by countries. In order to have a passport, you need to be a citizen of the country you are applying to. So if you are a British citizen, you get a UK passport, if you are a Canadian citizen, you get a Canadian passport. It doesn't matter where you were born, it's what country you are a citizen. If you don't have citizenship then you cannot have a passport. Ex: A Canadian citizen, who is NOT an American citizen cannot have a US passport.

You need to be a British national to be eligible for a British passport. If you are an alien and seeking refuge from the country you are a citizen of, you may be able to get a passport as a 'British protected person'
