The answer varies based on location. In some places it may be allowed, but not in others. You would need to check the laws in your area. It IS possible to adopt an adult... but in order to adopt someone you must be over a certain age. (usually 25)
Send them to a local humane society, or have someone adopt them. Please do not abandon them, they might die if you do.
The idea is that an adult is legally responsible for and able to take care of themselves, so they do not need someone to adopt them.

Yes. Beginning in 2001, same-sex married couples in the Netherlands are free to jointly adopt children, the same as any other married couple.
It should be possible for one to adopt a Saint Bernard puppy from a dog shelter. If you live in the United Kingdom it can be possible to adopt one from the RSPCA.

You can not adopt someone who is not born yet. They can't take it out and implant it into you either. That is not possible today. Your best shot is IVF in that regard. I also doubt a woman who has decided on abortion is willing to give her child away. Then she would have chosen adoption.
The first country to adopt a standard time was the Netherlands in 1835.
