if u have allready dune a good tune up and the eng is a 5.0 or 5.7 u may have a worn timing chain its very common and u will probably see better fuel milage after replacement
it onley does that because its a Chevy but u should try new plugs
Sounds as if you have some wires crossed.
It has been awhile since I owned a Chevy truck, but I seem to remember it was something to do with the vacuum hose or filter getting clogged with dirt. If you wait a few minutes, it should start back up. But, it is a faulty vacuum (filter), and needs to be replaced.
I don't know where it is on your truck but I would check and ignition relay. I had one burn up on my 70 Chevelle and it did this same thing.
