It sounds like you could possibly have a cv joint slipping or both. These are the drive lines that connect to your front wheels they are more prone to slipp when making corners and accelerating. To inspect them you can jack each side up like you would change a tire put a jack stand under the frame of the car for safety with the car off and in park with e brake on. Just reach up and grab the cv joint near where it connects into the wheel and check for sloppines hold cv joint and have a friend try to rotate wheel both directions by hand. cv joint should move in conjuction with wheel no sloppiness. Hard acceleration such as roasting the front tires usually causes this problem.
