There has to be a Blower RELAY At Fault, the problem is I don't know where it's located, YET!! If you have a repair manual and can locate the Relay please post info...
It depends on how hard the pull is. It would be safest to get your vehicle fixed before getting on the highway.
NO!...overdrive is for highway driving, with an empty truck, not towing anything, 55mph plus. Straight from the mouth of General Motors my friend!
You can get 18 highway and 14 pulling
I have a 99 Grand Cherokee and the driving lights are turned on by pulling on the button located at the top of the head light switch on the left side of the column, Note that the driving lights will only work with the low beams and will turn off when you switch to high beams. If you search the net you can find a way to have the driving lights and high beams on at the same time, this usually involves modifying a relay under the hood.
Highway at 60 mph about 15 mpg Highway at 75 mph about 12 mpg Highway pulling 15,000 lbs about 8 mpg
As a general rule, YES! The only circumstance I know of that this changes is when pulling a trailer. Then its recommended to take it out of overdrive, unless you are finally on the highway and at cruise speed for a good distance.

Check the PCM = Power Control Module aka Computer. This has happened to me in the past and what was happening was the wire harness that plugs into the PCM was binding up somewhere and pulling out from the PCM. In other words, No PCM - no run run.
Yes, unless you are pulling a trailer.
