Have you checked the fuel pressure? If you don't have the equipment to do it right try this. Start the car and let it die. Then disconnect the fuel inlet (Engine OFF) at the Throttle body. If you don't get sprayed you've got a bad fuel pump or filter. The reason the car starts is because the pump sends a small pulse to the TBI for starting purposes. After that small pulse you're probably not getting any flow.
