Its not obtaining gas or the air filter allot of leafs or fiber in it that is giving the car more gas than needed.
the 1984 cutlass had a computer but not to the extent of todays cars, I really don't understand your question.

you may either have a weak battery or your alternator could not be producing enough volts. Could also be a combination of the two.
four. Two 4" speakers in the dash, and two 6x9's in the rear. The ones in the dash are really difficult to get to. You have to remove the whole dash. (:
The 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4 are all the same block throughout all years. The only thing that really changed was the style of head, the intake, and a roller camshaft. It should be a direct swap for what you are wanting to do however.
They will fit, but they will look stupid as hell. Keep in mind the 1972 Cutlass came stock with 14" or 15" wheels. Anything bigger than 18" tends to look really, REALLY stupid on older cars like the '72 Cutlass.
I really doubt they are identical.
Picking the right color for the Cutlass really has alot of different things to take into consideration. Things like the interior color, if it has the vinyl top the types of wheels you have on it and of course your own personal likes. Just remember, if this is a car that you are going to drive, make it an expression of your personality. Even if you paint it white, make sure the color shows who you are.
