Sounds like the belt is slipping and getting hot and/or burning on a stuck bearing. Do not delay to check it or have it checked out - you don't want to lose the belt at an unappropriate time.
The rubber hose that feeds the wheel cylinder has failed. It is restricted internally.
The pump is actually located on the resevoir. The resevoir is located behind the plastic fender well protector on the passenger side towards the front. The motor simply pops out of the rubber ring.

The soot/burnt oil could be coming from a leaking valve cover gasket. The burn rubber may be coming from your fender wells if your tires are rubbing.
it is on the rear of the engine below the engine. There is a rubber hose coming out of the motor and the drain plug is inside the rubber hose.
