Oil slow getting to the head
it is the lifters, so you will need to change the head
if it is constantly ticking it can be you valves that need re adjusting on the head which is on the top of your engine, best to get it checked out by a mechanic to be sure
With the Dawoo Nubira if you ear a ticking noise check immediately for a bad timing belt!!! The service intervals for those are 5 years or 60,000 miles. But they are also susceptible to dry rot. If that belt goes you could be calling the junk yard to come get your car... The Dawoo Nubria has what is called an "interference" engine. Which means that if the belt fails completely the valves will be hanging open when the piston comes to the top of the cylinder bending valves in the head and destroying the head. A timing belt cost about $250 USD to replace in a shop. If it fails it will cost you thousands of dollars to repair. That being said,.. there are other things that can cause a ticking sound. Bad gas, worn or out of adjustment valves, engine timing, ect. But none of those things bear the consequences of the worn out timing belt. So if your belt is out of maintenance parameters CHANGE THAT BELT!!! Mine takes me about 2 hours to change myself in my driveway. I change mine at 50K, and the part only cost me $50 USD.
No! ticking noise is usually lifter noise. your engine is fine.(to a point) try changing your oil put in a thicker oil to prevent metal to metal contact. go for a 15/40 20/50. let it run for a while(few miles), if it doesn't stop buy an additive called "engine lucas", that will dilute your oil just enough to allow it to lubricate your lifters. also when your oil level drops or your oil becomes dirty your lifters will make that ticking noise.(the one that increases with engine speed) a blown head gasket 99% of the time will cause your car to smoke either blue or white.
That is a loaded question. Is the valve bent or broken? Did it damage the head? Is the valves simply ticking? You are looking at cost between a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand.
The noise is caused from lime and rust build up inside the shower head. Soak it for 24 hours in CLR - that should work.
check to see if it shakes in drive and reverse. If it does have the motor mounts checked out they could be broken Sounds like you may have a bad spark plug wire, the ticking noise you hear may be the spark arching to the block or cylinder head. Open the hood at night and look for blue sparks jumping across the wires.
There are two types of valves in an engine. The valves are located in the head. There are exhaust valves and fuel intake valves
It sounds like the head gaskets are blown and the bearings are gone. I suggest taking to a garage as I think you have a ruined engine. The head gasket is blown, which is allowing antifreeze to leak into the pistons. This is also a symptom of a cracked engine block or manifold. The antifreeze burns white smoke. The antifreeze then mixes with the oil and turns it watery. The ticking you hear are your lifters and valves not getting the lubrication they need. If you check your oil level, chances are it reads over full and the oil is a slick mud brown. Start shopping for an engine.
The rattling noise is in there so you can move the head around.
the valves need readjusting
