If you know the name of his unit, his rank, and dates of service you should be able to find it through an veterans office. I know here in the states that with that info we can track down a service record.
Info about 975th Engineer MaintenanceMy Dad served with the 975th during WWII. From training in Camp Claibourne LA to Europe to the Philippines. He served from 1943 to 1946. Was in Belgium during the Bulge. Went from Europe to the Philippines where this outfit was being staged for the invasion of Japan had they not surrendered. He is 82 and in pretty good shape. This outfit served in about 6 different theaters of war during this time period. What kind of info are you looking for? I just signed him up on this site.
