If you have or think you might have this situation call your pets vet before leaving any area where help is reachable from. See what supplies to get and what information you will need to get care or treat the wound yourself. If you are already IN this situation and somehow have a computer to go on wikianswer.com and ask, than use that computer to email the vet or research what to do and order supplies! If there is other civilization around, ask around to see if anyone knows how to care for the wound or has supplies that you could use! I myself can't heal a wound all that well but know what I would do if I was in that situation or what my options would be. I hope this info. helped and that if you are in this situation, good luck, if it passed, I hope all went well, and if it hasn't happened, I'll cross my fingers that it wont!Also, if your at last resort, clean the wound with water, treat it with antibiotic or other pet care items IF you have them, dry it, and cover with a make shift bandage from even a scrap of cloth or piece of ripped shirt If it's larger, I suggest using other options!
