Check accuracy of gauge with mechanical one Check coolant level Bad thermostat? Cooling system airbound? Cooling fan not working? Water pump not circulating coolant?
Not very easily, since Wranglers do not have power locks.
If engine is running well very possably the catylitic converter
Not sure what part you are talking about, but the 2006 and 2008 Jeep Wranglers are different body styles and sizes. Very few if any parts will interchange.
The best place to find an Army Jeep for sale would be craigslist.org. Go look! There are some great ones on there, and if you change your mind The new style Jeep Wranglers are very nice, with all new interior design.
Perhaps you have a leak in your transmission. Check the transmission fluid while the car is running. DO NOT check any other fluids while the engine is running.
I know from owning two that at the very least, some Jeep Grand Cherokees have straight 6 engine. i do not know about other models.
Very front of the engine, under the housing behind the crank pulley.
my jeep wrangler carburator was removed by my mechanic and since then, the carburator has been malfunctioning. I even bought and fit a refurbished carburator and still rpoblem of slow running persist. Problem is, engine runs and stall, and very hard starting
On the end of the fuel rail at the front of the engine. The rail holding all your injectors. It has a vacuum line running to it. Its not very big. Depends on the year, most are part of the pump module in the fuel tank.
I have to guess at a few things but.. I am guessing because the engine has serious problem with how it is running the engine computer has increased the idle speed very high to try and keep it running. If this is the case putting it into gear will bang very hard and drop the engine speed to below what the engine control computer can keep it running. So it quits. Get the engine fixed.
Sounds like exhaust leak.
I own a 97 Jeep wrangler, and I love it. It is an all around awesome vehicle. First, wranglers are just cool. there is just something about seeing a rugged looking 4X4 cruising down the road with the top and doors off. Another great thing is the wranglers off road capability. If you like the idea of being able to go where there are no real roads, a Jeep wrangler is your style. I could go on and on about the pros, so let me try to think of a downside. The only thing that comes to mind is limited storage space. there is not a lot of room in the wrangler. Ultimately it depends on what you are looking for. A jeep wrangler is not a luxury sports car, so obviously it is not extremely comfortable or very fast. but if that is not what you are looking for, and you want a sweet looking, rugged, capable vehicle, take a good look at the Jeep Wrangler.
