i just had that problem (crank angle sensor) under the distributor cap...just got one for about $180 but never stalled while driving again ...saves the headache get one!!!
Check battery cables/connections.
In fact any turbo can be used on any turboed car. It will just have to be custom fitted. The real issue here is that the 94 Z is twin turbo while the 87 Z is single turbo.
press on the button under the cruse control that are on the control pod- while you have your low or high beams on.

It depends on the year. The 1990-99 NA has 222HP, the TT has 280HP on an automatic while the manuel gets 300HP. The previous years are a lot weaker. The 300ZX Turbo made before 1990 has less horsepower than a Naturally Aspirated 300ZX 1990+
If the car turns off while driving, it can be a sign of a bad ground. It can also mean a fuel system problem.
It might have run out of gas.
