Vehicles with ABS may have speed sensors at each wheel. If one of the wheel sensors has failed or if the connector has corroded or become damaged you may get a code indicateing a speed sensor problem.
depends on the sensor .your question has to have more detail to it .Due to there is all kinds of sensors such as, temp sensor, knock sensor,o2 sensor, iac sensor, map sensor, idle air control sensor, mass air flow sensor, shift control sensors, transmission sensors, coolant sensors, hell there is even brake sensors and rear end sensors, some even have body sensors.
Without knowing what sensors you are trying to replace, there is no answer. Please re ask question about a specific sensor.
You should never disconnect critical sensors such as oil or coolant. The first thing to check is if your oil is low or if there's another problem such as a leak around the sensor. If you've made certain something is wrong with the sensor itself then replace the sensor so that you can get a warning before you spend $2,000 on engine repairs.
The ABS sensors are located in the hub assembly. In this case, it is necessary to replace the hub assembly with the ABS sensor inside. You might just check your wires in case the wires behind the hub have frayed or broken. This applies especially if the problem is the passenger side ABS sensor.
you have to remove the intake, and there are 2 knock sensors.
how much does it cost to repair a faulty wheel sensor
There's no need to replace knock sensors, and there was never a 3.6 engine.
These fans work off of heat sensors. Your sensor can be failing, replace this sensor. This still does not tell where the sensor is located.
these are sensors that look like spark plugs that are on the exhaust some right after the header and some after the catalityc converter. disconnect the wiring from them and unscew them for the exhaust pipe. on the ends are little slits some times the sensors get hot and cause the slits to close. take a knife and carefully open them back up. then replace them. if this doesnt work then you'll need to replace the sensor(s). i unfortunally dont know which sensor bank 1 sensor 2 is on a 96 altima, but i hope this info was helpful.
unplug your crank sensor and see if your gauges start to work some of the time the crank sensor will short and cause a lot of problems if the gauges start to work replace the crank sensor if not look at the 3 wire sensors map tps and o2 sensors one of these vould be the problem also but when you unplug the sensor cycle the key off then on and give it a second and see if your gauges come back if they do mostlikely the last sensor you unpluged is the problem
There are several causes for the engine light to come on. The most common problem is the oxygen sensors. If you decide to replace the oxgen sensors, make sure you disconnect the negative battery cable before you replace them. Otherwise, the engine light will still come on. Another cause can be the mass airflow sensor. The best thing to do to be 100% sure is to have the dealer diagnose it. Good Luck!
I have a 1999 sebring and i had to replace my speed sensor. there are two sensors one located on the transmission that's the internal one and the other one is just off the drivers front wheel well, you have to pull the tire off.On the transmission, there are two,one input and one output. If the speedometer operation is the problem the output sensor is the problem is located on the driver (Left)side of the transaxle.
