it could mean that you have a loose battery cable that needs to be tightened

there is a sensor on the back of the battery sleeve that wraps around the battery. it takes the temp of the battery to check for low or over charging.
i had smilar issue with my 99 mitsu mirage, changed alt, and battery, and still had problems, turned out to be the voltage regulator. To test use a voltmeter and if the reading is below 13 on a new battery and is fluctuating then it should be the volatge regulator Try changing the belt i just had the same thing happen to my 03 rs i change both belts and then everything turned out fine after that
you need a new battery usally every ten years there is probably a warranty on it chech it out
There is a battery in this system that would be overdue for replacement in a 2004.
Have the charging system checked. Possibly loose or corroded wiring, a loose alternator belt, or a bad alternator.
No, the battery light is coming on because there is a problem with the charging system. Most likely the alternator is failing. Most auto parts stores will check your system for free.
Alternator, silenoid, battery cables. After you have checked those 3, try a new battery if its more than 3 years old.
I also have this problem. The fuse is in the fuse box under the hood. For sum reason mine keeps blowing out thouge. Check ur fuses under the hood. one of em is blown.
Believe it or not. ADD COOLANT>
Sounds like a power transister overheating & shutting down. Take it to a radio/TV repair shop for repair(If more than $75 buy a new aftermarket)
