No it is not normal. Most Bettas die before they get to 4 years old.
it depends some fish can be less aggressive than others i had a male Betta that lived fine for years with gold fish
A betta normally only lives 2-3 years, so it would be around 70 years old in "betta years".
Betta fish used to be dull colored fish that lived in small puddles in Cambodia, Thailand, and other places in Asia.
i have had this happen lots of times whether your feeding them or not... it scares me every time... and it is with different betta fish so i think it is normal!
That's perfectly normal for a betta.
1 betta year is 20 human years ruoghly, 2 betta years is 40 human years 3 betta years 60 human years 4 successful betta years=80 in human...got it
A betta fish can last 2 - 5 years if kept in a tank with proper conditions.
They have radiant colors, and the males tails are beautiful. They require very little care. Mine lived for about 2.5 years.
If the fish is still getting used to it's surroundings, it might not eat. This is normal. Usually if betta fish are comfortable, they will eat as soon as they smell or see the food.
Well there are lots of types of fins for betta fish. my betta fish has a long stringy tail and fins, but my female has short average fins. most have plain fins. mine is the only one i have seen in my area with a stringy tail. most fish have stringy tails if they are sick but not mine he was bred to be like that. depending on the fish and the area well there are lots of things that are considered normal for bettas.
No that means your fish is depressed or feeling sick search betta sicknesses to see if she matches the symptoms. Remember your betta must come up for air, if she doesn't that could be trouble
