I'm not a mechanic / technician but that sounds like your battery has a dead cell
if your battery cable connections are good
The most common reason for a vehicle not to turn over is a bad alternator. If the alternator is not charging the battery the engine will not start, regardless of the battery age.
Bad Alternator or the Battery possibly is losing voltage. I replaced the alternator and serpentine belt before thinking it was the battery. The battery was only 16 months old. But it turned out to be the bad source.
if the engine cranks.... then it is not the battery or alternator.... look at the primary electrical system and fuel injection
Usually no warning signs unless a bearing is going bad, Other than that it just stops charging the battery. what about overcharging? alternator is 10 months old, as is battery, same problem
Weak alternator, dead cell in the battery, or something is on pulling power from the battery when the cars is not running.
i would start by testing the battery , i have seen cases where the battery was good enough to start the vehicle but was causing the alternator to do all the work resulting in premature failure. my f150 went through a brand new ford alternator in 2 months .
Have the alternator checked.
The battery icon does not mean the battery is bad.... it means the battery is not receiving the full charge. You might want to check wire connections, belt tension, or even have the alternator checked. Most major auto stores will check the alternator free of chare.
Depends on the condition of the battery. Most will hold a charge for at least 6 months if they are not connected to anything.
starter
could be something wrong with the distributor. This happened to me a few months ago. My 2001 Honda prelude was only running off the battery for a day or so and I took it in to get the alternator replaced. They did that, but it still was only running off of the battery and my gauges weren't working. I took it back and they replaced the distributor and everything worked again. Or the alternator could be loosely connected. Voltage regulater ng or battery ng Voltage regulater ng or battery ng this is a guessing game with electrical ,i assume you've taken your alternator to get checked ,you could have a loose electrical wire or a blowen fuse also check your battery cables they may need cleaning , good luck.
Check the alternator. If the alternator is not generating enough electrical energy to run the car AND recharge the battery you'll always have a low battery. If that's not it try to find something that is being left on that's draining the battery.
