The fuel filter on a 1994 Dodge Stealth is located just outside the gas tank. It is positioned in-line to trap contaminants before they reach the engine.
I am having problems getting the back clip to come loose. I have the correct tool to change the filter. Help????
IT'S UNDER THE BATTERY, BOLTED TO THE FIREWALL. It's also difficult to change, It took me roughly 5 hours, but it can be done!
change the spark plugs and wires and change the oil and change the oil filter and air cleaner filter and you should get better gas miles
on a 1993 Dodge Stealth rmove the battery plate and its on the left hand side on the fire wall towards the bottom.
Check for codes. Possibly, Change the fuel filter, then check the fuel pressure at the rail, to make sure the fuel pump is putting out proper pressure.
You change a fuel pump when it fails. When that will happen is anyones guess. To prevent premature failure of the fuel pump, replace the fuel filter every 36,000 miles. A partially clogged fuel filter will overwork the fuel pump and shorten it's life.
Sounds like it's not getting enough fuel or a filter is clogged. Try having your fuel ejection flushed and fuel filter changed!
if changing the fuel filter, and it still stalls out. you have a problem with the fuel not getting to engine.
Change the oil and the oil filter, than disconnect the negative side of the battery for 10 seconds than reconnect.
Change your oil, then run the car BRIEFLY (about 30 seconds), then change oil and oil filter again. Good luck.
