I think you should really think about the matter. Don't have an affair with the ex because it is a bad idea to cheat. For the most part, what starts off wrong, ends wrong. But if both of you have strong feelings, and you both feel this is not on a whim, the ball is in the ex's court. Tell your ex how you feel about the situation. If the ex makes the move to leave, then it might be the best thing to happen. I have to say, I know of a a couple of people who left a marriage to be with the one they love (but the two i have seen left after having married for the wrong reasons; baby, youth, etc) for people they were friends with. They were not on a whim and have lasted 30 + years. If you are willing to be a part of breaking up this union, then you better be ready to be in a serious relationship with your ex. And make sure you are not only remembering the good parts of your past. Those bad things have a certain way of sneaking up on us, and we usually want out. Marriage is not a game. Please don't treat this like one. Make sure your feelings are real!
