- People at parties, even friends can get caught up in the excitement of the party and if there is any drinking that can cause people to not think about what they are doing and who they are excluding. It probably was not on purpose, but certainly bad manners. Best friends generally pair off, but it would be to your best interest to tell your friend that it hurt you she ignored you at the party. She may well apologize and assure you it was not on purpose.
