I have seen it listed as "Boy Picking Apples". I bought that painting in 1988, and on the sales receipt it just says "Apples". I think that's an abbreviation.

The only thing that I can remember of Ed Blouin is that he was from the southern part of Louisiana and he painted a picture of the Hermitage House that existed 1812-1814;or this is the information I was given. My family owns this painting. It is painted primarily by palette knife. I bought a painting from Ed Blouin in his Art Gallery in the early 1980s. It was at 905 Decatur Street, New Orleans, LA 70116. Phone 523-1477. Residence phone 897-3285. My painting was of a jazz funeral. Edmond Blouin Painted in the French quarter from the early 1960's until about 1996 or 1997. Over the years he painted thousands of paintings. He passed away in July 2003. His oldest son Edmond J Blouin Jr inherited his father's love of painting and many of his paintings are found on the internet.
The one painting he actually sold, 'The Red Vineyard', was bought by an impressionist painter and art collector from Belgium, Anna Boch.

I have several "sand" paintings by an artist named Van Dam, but I can't find anything online about the artist or paintings. My parents bought them when we were living in England in the 1970's. Do you know anything about the artist, like a first name?
a ppainting bought at auction.....
Coins that are painted were sold as "collectors items" by several companies. These coins were sold as a collectors item, and by selling them as such it is guaranteed that they never will be. In reality by painting the coin it has been (in the eyes of serious coin collectors) rendered non noncollectable and will be worth only the scrap value of the silver in it, or perhaps a little more. If it is in actuality a 1921 Peace dollar it is a shame it was painted as that date is hard to find and worth from $100 - $250 in circulated condition. But as I stated previously by painting the surface of the coin much if not all numismatic value has been removed.
