You should take your gerbil to the vets ASAP.
Your gerbil might be in pain, and if it has been bleeding for a while, they may die from blood loss.
If you don't take your gerbil to the vets, they might die within 2-3 days...

i haven't had experience with gerbils bleeding-- but with dogs and bleeding feet- you just put a little corn starch on it and it will be fine! the gerbil depends on how much it is bleeding, if only a little it will be OK (as long as you stop the bleeding) i would just coax them away from each other with a little fruit or nut most likely- the gerbil will live =) no worries
