Hello - Best thing to do is have your girlfriend wait another week and do a pregnancy test. During this time if her period does arrive - then she isn't pregnant. Its also highly adviseable that you abstain from sex or use protection. Withdrawal method etc doesn't work. Or failing that - see your doctor for a blood test to confirm whether she is pregnant or not. Take care. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please recommend all FAQ Farm Users who have helped you sufficently so they know their help and advice is appreciated. Unless you happen to have very long cycles, the test you took should have been accurate, unless it was a very cheap one. The other alternative is that you were pregnant but for some reason the hormone levels produced were not high enough. You may have ovulated later than normal which would both delay a period, and also if you conceived, may mean a test would not pick up the pregnancy hormone. That wouldn't explain the change in symptoms though. It would be worth retesting - if you are pregnant it should certainly be showing up by now. If it is still negative, see a doctor if there is no other reason why a period should be delayed or if you were to have pregnancy symptoms again.

I think people think it is funny at first because crying and laughing often sound the same. So unless they are a very cruel person, I don't know anyone who would think someone crying is funny. Though I do think that some people might think someone crying was funny if the reason they were crying was ridiculous or if the reason was hilarious. It still does not make thinking that someone crying is "funny", justified.
If you are genuinely having a period, then the test will come out negative because you cannot be pregnant. However, some women think they are menstruating when they may be bleeding for some reason in early pregnancy. The test then could either be positive or negative depending on the condition of the baby.
PMS is a nonsense term, it is not a specific condition but a term used to describe around 150 symptoms mostly consisting of negative symptoms associated with menstruation - often this is about social ideas surrounding menstruation. There is actually no scientific evidence that PMS exists, and outside of Western medicine PMS is unheard of.If you have symptoms before menstruation then you simply have those symptoms, there's no reason to use the term 'PMS' because that term doesn't explain anything about what you're experiencing other than that you're seeing symptoms before your period. Things like breast tenderness and cramps can be symptoms of upcoming menstruation if you have hormonal imbalance.
