I can see why. you need a good grade to get a good job and spending time together will distract her and possibly give her a bad grade and you don't want to be the cause of that do you? Most people get stressed during exams, because they don't think they've done enough revision even though they probably spend everyday revising.

Spending time together while she is stressed over her exams could lead to arguments and possibly break ups, your girlfriend isn't pushing you away or trying to avoid you, she cares about you enough to not spend time with you. That might seem bad not spending time together but your girl is right you don't want to argue and break up all because of exams and if she does spend time with you and you do break up that's going to be more stress on her and could lead to failing.

I strongly suggest that you text her sometimes asking if she is okay and see if she needs help with anything or needs anything picking up, help her by doing these things that way you are spending time together and helping her stress less and making sure she has everything she needs.
