Without seeing you hair its hard to say. You may want to start with a vitamin enriched shampoo to change the texture. Pantene has one but the Equate brand at Walmart is just as good and less expensive, they also have a conditioner. People think they have to wash the hair every day but that is what dries it out and helps create split ends. If you do not have oily hair then every 2-3 days is enough to shampoo, that's not to say you can take a body shower. After shampoo/conditioner then you go to a styling product like mousse or gel. Look on the shelves for a product that gives a desription of how you feel your hair is. There is so much out there. You can go to a salon/haircutters for an evaluation of your hair and they can give you more professional advise by seeing it, too. It shouldn't cost anything.
