Typically when a hamster is pregnant, she will build a nest to birth the babies in, you can tell if shes pregnant if: she builds a nest, gets fat around the lower belly, bites more, doesn't like to be handled as much, and fights with the male. She probably wasn't humping the male, she was probably fighting him, which is dangerous. And she is not mad at him, she is fighting him because once a female has mated, she will fight the male, so after they have mated, separate them immediatly. By the way, a female is only pregnant for about 16 days. So buy a new cage or build one for your male.
