* It's unusual for a lab to kill a small dog or be bothersome to most other dogs in the family. Before having this dog put in an Animal Shelter in hopes of adopting it out or, perhaps having to have the dog put to sleep have your vet do a complete physical on the dog. Example: Our next door neighbors came home with a cute little Golden Retriever (also an easy going breed) and I gave him (Max) his first toy. I obviously was shocked as Max grew up that he became vicious (the owners were very good to the pet) and it was as if I'd never known him. I was terrified of him and yes, he'd bite! He was a huge dog. After Max became ill he passed away and the vet told the owners he had a cancerous tumor on his brain. It is wise if you want another dog to have two females and have peace in the family. Although females can get miserable at times (especially if you have had one pet for a good length of time and it becomes jealous) females seldom kill each other. Talk to your vet and decide what to do with your lab. This animal cannot be left in this condition as it could maul a child or a person the next time. * Please take your dog to a vet! The vet has the most info, and it can help you greatly!
