The first thing to do is to check that the lawnmower belt is going around all of the pulleys in order (check manual for belt route). If the belt is on correctly, then make sure that it is tight around the pulleys and is not slipping. If that is not happening either, raise the deck to its maximum height. Then peek under the deck to see if anything is wrapped around or catching the blade. If you cant see under it, drive it onto a ramp or raise front end somehow so you can see under the deck. Also, on some models, the deck comes out from under the mower (consult the owner's manual). Then you should be able to determine the cause.
Blades of a lawnmower is held by nuts and bolts.
For a healthy lawn, you should sharpen your lawnmower blades. Dull blades dont cut your grass, they tear and damage it. You can use a file or a grinding wheel to sharpen them. You should always remember to remove the blades from the mower. Sharpening the blades while they are still attached to the mower is dangerous. You also need to keep the blades balanced. If your blades are uneven, sharpen the heavier end until the blades are level. Unbalanced blades cut unevenly and put extra wear and tear on the lawnmower. This will eventually damage your lawnmowers engine.
It is due to the momentum still in the blades.
lawn mower blades are made of steel but some are made of plastic
Your blades probably need to be sharpened.
2 21inch blades.
Adjust the height levers next to each wheel.
When sharpening lawnmower blades it Is important to check the blades for cracks or large notches due to hitting debris if any of these things are present it is important to buy new blades
Vise clamps , A file ,sand paper ands piece of wood
Yes it is possible The blades should have writing on them indicating which way they face up or down or towards grass side. The blade usualy turn clock wise so the blade should be put on with the sharp edge pointing in the direction of the rotation. Hope this helps.
it will do that on pavement if you have in in 4 wheel drive
Of course you should. Sharpen in the same manner as any blade making sure it is balanced when finished. Make note that some mulching blades have 2 cutting edges. Sharpen those using the same method.
