Your matiz 0.8 se 2000 is giving endless alternator problems Waiting on the 4th one in a year They keep overcharging 17-20volts. There is 2 batteries in the car for the sound system. Its now disabled.?

Hi. Had the same problem with the same model. My problem was that I wasn't replacing with a genuine Daewoo part but another Korean brand and had a 5 to 10 Volt overcharge. I believe it may have something to do with the regulator that is very specific.
I decided on my 3rd attempt to replace with a Genuine Daewoo Part and have the problem solved. It obviously costs a bit more for the genuine part but its worth it in the long run.

This is true. It is equivalent to not putting any gas in the tank to reduce weight. You won't go very far. The alternator recharges the battery and provides power to run the electrical system ie computer etc.
