Yes, just had exactly the same problem, I tightened oil cap correctly and cleaned the oil thst has splattered around the engine compartment and it has solved the odour of oil / fumes.
Basically behind and below the glove compartment , you can see where the heater hoses connect to the heater core at the firewall from the engine compartment
Behind / below the glove compartment area inside a plastic case . You can see where the heater hoses connect to the heater core at the firewall in the engine compartment
If you are talking about "smoke" that fills the interior it can be one of two things. One, a leaking heater core. Two...if your engine smokes from oil dripping on the exhaust, etc you could have a crack in the housing for the A/C and it's pulling in the smoke and gasses from the engine compartment.
Behind the glove compartment area inside a plastic case . From the engine compartment you can see where the two heater hoses connect to the heater core at the firewall
The heater core will be inside the passenger compartment , somewhere behind / below the dash . The heater hoses connecting to the heater core will be under the hood in the engine compartment
No
Below the intake manifold (the large air duct where you change the air filter), is the thermostat housing. The heater hose runs out of the thermostat housing, over the exhaust pipe, to the firewall between the engine compartment and the passenger compartment. Some have a metal section of pipe connected between the thermostat housing and the typical rubber heater hose.
block heater on a ford diesel is actually not a block heater but an oil heater this heater is located on the back right side of the oil cooler on side of engine under the exhaust manifold a block heater in an engine actually is in the block
Behind the firewall, near the center of the engine compartment.
It could be your heater fan bearing. But more than likely its something in your engine compartment that is making the smell. Such as oil burning on the exhaust or a worn accessory belt.
If you look from the engine compartment you will see the 2 heater hoses that connect to your heater core at the firewall towards the passenger side
The heater inlet hose on a Hyundai Accent is in the back of the engine compartment. It goes through the firewall to the heater core.
