Normal Menstrual cycle is 28 days.But may vary from person to person.

So as u can see for every woman the first 14days is constant and the 14th day(mid menstual cycle) is usually the time of ovulation.Whereas the next half of the cycle may vary..Some may have 14days..some 10days..some 18days...so..September 28th will be the day of ovulation! The above answer is not accurate, it is actually the second half of the cycle that stays constant. This is because ovulation can be suppressed, it may not come exactly 14 days after you last period. However your period is about 14 days after ovulation, and can't be suppressed. So if you have a 30 day cycle you probably ovulated on day 16. However some women have different luteal phases (phase in between ovulation and period) so ovulation can only really be determined by recording your basal body temperature over the course of your cycle, or doing a series of ovulation tests.

It is probably nothing to worry about but its best to ere on the side of caution, especially if you suspect pregnancy.
